Baby C was welcomed into the world summer of 2023. His parents have been redoing a lovely old farmhouse in Wheeling, WV which was the perfect and cozy home setting for his lifestyle newborn session. His brother was doting and did such a great job in assisting during the day. Then their kitty Steve came to visit and hang out at the end of the day.

These two and I had such a blast at Piney Run Park in Carroll County, MD. When your love language is playfully roasting each other but also making sure to capture the person you love doing things they love…. We are on similar brain waves. A big thank you to Kristina for picking an activity that David would enjoy and not totally hating me for encouraging him to bring his fishing rod out of the truck. Seemed fitting since a fishing trip in West Virginia was how he proposed to her.
Thank you both for entertaining me, and giving me the gift of a beautiful evening in a new place, with a belly full of laughs. Those are the days that fill my cup.

On a super sunny September day at the Back Farm on Piney Run in Frostburg, Maryland right by the Garrett County line, Parker and Mackenzie celebrated their union and their love. Winchester, Virginia holds a sweet spot in my heart. Because of this wonderful space and it’s surrounding areas I have been blessed with some of the most amazing clients. But also, it’s gorgeous. But also also 😉 it’s where my great grandparents eloped. So when Aspen and Taylor got ahold of me and told me of their plan to elope there, I was stoked to say the least.

Post rain on a July day I met up with Harley and Nicole at Big Run State Park in Garrett County, Maryland near Deep Creek Lake for their engagement session. We wandered all over and played in nature and on Harley’s motorcycle, We then ended the day at Katie’s Ice Cream in Grantsville, Maryland and caught the last bits of the setting sun with ice cream to refuel us from our adventures.

Devin, Billy, and Lennie are some of my favorite humans, So when Devin hit me up to let me know their family was expanding and that it was time to capture them once again I was hyped. They drove up and met me at Swallow Falls State Park in Deep Creek Maryland. For the day I rented a stunning dress from Flutter Dress, and we wandered all over the park enjoying nature and capturing them in all of their glory as occasionally Lennie would play along when motivated by snacks and songs. Also a major shout out is needed to Billy’s sister for helping with Lennie, it would have been impossible without you <3 As the sun was setting and the park was empty, we then broke out the other wardrobe for the day and totally smoked out the top of Muddy Creek Falls. A major thank you all around to coming up to Deep Creek Lake Maryland and showing off the amazing glow that is your love and expanding family <3

Kelly and Alan started their love story in a bar in Baltimore, MD and it brought them to me and Harper’s Ferry, WV. They decided to elope in Baltimore, so the weekend before they came to Harpers Ferry to get away and we met up the day before to capture their energy and their bliss as we wandered through town.

On a warm sunny Saturday, on the grooms family farm, Amanda and RJ threw one heck of a party and joined their forces. The day was full of tons of laughter, love, puppies, lots of sunshine, hayrides, and moonshine. The endless view of mountains and valleys below Big Savage Mountain made for a breathtaking backdrop. The hazey sunset thanks to the smoke from the wildfires made for a gorgeous pink sky sunset.

Lexi and Ian’s love shined bright on their May wedding day. Friends and family came from all over to join them at their venue, Creekside Resort in Bedford County, Pennsylvania. Their ceremony was held next to a creek and the two were married by Lexi’s dad under the wedding arch Ian custom made for the day. The day was filled with lots of laughter, love, lovely homemade details nodding to the couples farm home in Montgomery County, Maryland. Stories shared throughout the day nodded to their meeting and proposal involving a rainy day and a pregnant sheep in veterinary school at Virginia Tech. I am so glad these two and their puppy Andie had me capture their day. It was a wonderful one for sure.

Ivy and Ryan came out and played with me at Rocky Gap State Park in Western Maryland for their engagement session. We wandered all over the park and chatted, having a nice evening together. We even got to sneak in some shots with Ryan’s jeep which comes from winning it at the casino that is also inside this vast state park. I can’t wait for these two to get married lovely humans to get married in September!!

Adam and Morgan met up with me in Oakland, MD, then we wandered over to Swallow Falls State Park, and then ended the day at Deep Creek Lake State Park and watched the sunset.
I have known Morgan forever thanks to her being a year younger than me in private school. So I figured what better way to spend the day then stumble around the area around where they are getting married, and just take our time taking their engagement photos and catching up.
We spent the time chatting about life after school, how her and Adam met, them living in Aspen, Colorado and having a puppy named for that life adventure. Adam enjoys photography as well and does some wonderful work with landscapes and we chatted about his love coming from getting into astro photography out west. It was a nice day spent wandering about with an old friend and a new friend. I can’t wait for their fall wedding in Garrett County, MD!!

Rinda and Daniel eloped in Hocking Hills Ohio in the spring of 2021. We spent a day at their rental home with their friends and family having a ceremony. Then we woke up early the next morning to wander the park early before anyone else got there and had a total blast. We hiked through upper falls, Old Man’s Cave, and then the Old Man’s Cave Waterfall. Hocking Hills is one of my personal all time favorite spots, so it was wonderful to actually capture it with such an amazing couple.

On a sunny afternoon in September of 2019 Courtney and Jeremy tied the knot at the C. William Gilchrist Gallery in Cumberland, Maryland. The day started with Courtney and her bridesmaids getting ready at her parents house down the street. Then we made our way up the hill to get dressed and take some awesome photos at the gallery. The ceremony was held in the back gardens of the C. William Gilchrist Gallery, which is a gorgeous home from the 1800’s on Washington Street in Cumberland, MD. Which is a street full of gorgeous historic houses nestled in the valley of Mountain Maryland. Once the ceremony was done and we made our way through group portraits Courtney’s dad drove the lovely couple to their reception at the Allegany Museum in their neighbor’s vintage Rolls Royce. Once at the museum dancing and food ensued. Black Guy Fawkes played some songs and kept the crowd pleased. All in all it was a lovely early fall wedding day in Western Maryland.

Brian and George spent a lovely February day wandering around Swallow Falls State Park with me for their engagement photos. These two love birds had know each other since high school and reconnected and fell in love years later. It was wonderful to enjoy the surprisingly warm day while wandering through the woods and listening to the story of their love. We even had a great time having a nice icicle wand fight and just got to goof off and giggle together.

Megan and Derrick came to Blackwater Falls State Park in Davis, WV for the weekend to elope and enjoy the beauty of Tucker County. Although it rained the day of we still had a total blast popping over to Tip Top in Thomas, WV afterwards to cut their custom cakes my close friend made for the day. Then we wandered through the stores of Thomas and Davis and even briefly popped over to Canaan Valley to get some moody misty shots of the valley.
