Jason and Tonya eloped on top of Marsh Mountain at the Wisp Resort in McHenry, Maryland in February 2022. When I arrived at their suite Jason’s lovely amazing mom was helping Tonya get ready. Once everyone was ready to go we went downstairs to meet up with Jason’s father and head up the mountain in a caravan fashion. The planner picked a lovely spot overlooking the view of Deep Creek lake below and we were off to the races as the wind tried to blow us away. Afterwards we went to a less windy spot to grab some family pictures and pictures of Jason and Tonya as their marriage sunk in and shined through them.

On a cold and stormy October day in 2021 Ashley and Sean got married at The Back Farm on Piney Run in Frostburg, Maryland. Luckily for us the sun eventually popped out right after their ceremony and we were able to sprint outside into the cold long enough to get some amazing pictures without freezing too much, The whole day was full of love, tons of laughs, oodles of old friends, and a great dance party.

Alex and Connor got married right before Christmas 2021 at the Hotel Gunter in Frostburg, Maryland. We got to wander through the chill of Main Street in December and come back to hot coco. This small but intimate day was wonderful. I was jazzed to wander through parts of the hotel where I hadn’t been before and make some pretty cool art along the way.

On a sunny October day in 2020 Robert and Sarah tied the knot at Stonebridge in Cumberland, Maryland. Robert and Sarah have been together since middle school so it was a very relaxed and low key day with good friends and family. Sarah wandered around barefoot all day and we all just had fun together, goofing off, and spreading the love.

Tonya and Jason recently moved to Maryland, so of course we had to play for their engagement session. We started at Muddy Creek Falls at Swallow Falls State Park and then popped over to the Rock Maze up the road. Although it was an extremely hot fall day we still managed to have a blast and hid in the shade to cool down.

Some weddings are just more fun than anything else. That is exactly what I would say about Jenn and Joey’s wedding in Gambrills, Maryland. This backyard affair took place at Joey’s family home and it had everything. From puppies and a slew of kids, to dirt bikes and other off road vehicles, homemade pickle shots, and it ended with a big ole bonfire. Major thanks to the universe for bringing Jenn and Joey to me, this was a day well worth its weight in fun.

Isabelle and Chris’s summer wedding at Evergreen Heritage Center in Mount Savage, MD was a beautiful warm day. Later on a nice little rain helped to cool down the weather to make for a perfect dance floor. After a tear jerking ceremony the switch to epic dance party made the day full of all the good things.

Nick and Abby’s June West Virginia wedding at Brookedale Farm was a smaller but wonderful day. I met Nick years ago when I shot his senior pictures with the firetruck that made an appearance at their wedding. They were both surrounded in an abundance of friends and family and left as the sun was setting in their big green firetruck chariot.

Robert and Sarah are some of my favorite humans. I first met them when I shot their engagement session years ago at the rock maze in Garrett County, MD. I have been capturing them and their family ever since. Whether it was their amazingly fun wedding at Stonebridge, Sarah’s sisters senior pictures, or my carefully crafted idea of fun for them with this maternity session. Sarah and Robert were in a hiking wave when we first met. They were out to hit the tallest peaks in each state. Which later inspired me to fall back into love with nature hard. As soon as I found out they hadn't been to Seneca Rocks or to Dolly Sods I instantly knew that was the answer. We caught early golden hour at Seneca Rocks and played around for a bit and then I let them in on the other half off the plan and had them follow me back down the road to catch the sunset and blue hour at Bear Rocks at Dolly Sods.

Towards the end of June on a warm evening Hayden, Susan, and I wandered around Hayden’s family farm with their little green old Volkswagen Beetle. Luckily for us the sun was glowing and on point as we wandered our way through the property, listened to Hayden singing, occasionally got photobombed by the puppies, and had an absolutely wonderful evening. I am the most thankful that Hayden and Susan let me capture them in the time right before they became parents. Their maternity session was the absolute best with a ton of elements that are totally them, and their energy.

On a cold January day we wandered through Hagerstown City Park and took some super bomb, dramatic, maternity photos. The sun came to greet us and lit up the path as we wandered about and occasionally sprinted back into our cars to crank the heat and meet some relief from the cold.

For a lot of us 2020 was a yearrrrr, for Heather and Tyler there is no exception here. They were suppose to originally tie the knot with a wedding at Blackwater Falls State Park in Davis, West Virginia in May of 2020. Well, that turned into a fall courthouse elopement instead. Then they planned a summer 2021 reception party with their friends and family. Then COVID hit days before the planned reception. So, at this point I hatched a rough plan with Heather to make a fun day for her and Tyler when everyone was well again. October 2021 finally our window came, Heather’s mom packed a picnic, and Heather’s sister joined us for the day to help out as we all hiked through Blackwater Falls State Park. First we started at Elakala Falls so Tyler could finally see Heather in her dress. Then wandered over to Lindy Point to enjoy the picnic and the sunset with some extra goodies that I added in from a stop at Tip Top Cafe in Thomas, West Virginia. I was so happy to have everything finally come together for Heather and Tyler. They are such amazingly sweet goofy humans who deserved all the good and it was nice to be able to aid in finally making that happen for them.

Maxwell and Mary met towards the end of high school during AP Psych. They began dating during their freshman year of college and have been together ever since. They are both super sweet and Maxwell is one amazing photographer with a lot of cool projects going on. He is part of Hounds which has be delivering amazing thought provoking art during these times. Meanwhile Mary has started her own YouTube channel. I highly suggest checking them both out for sure. This elopement at Highlands View in Petersburg, WV, just down the road from Seneca Rocks and Dolly Sods, could not have been more perfect.

We met up in Petersburg, West Virginia at Highlands View for their elopement. Which is just down the road from Seneca Rocks and Dolly Sods. We had a wonderful time playing around on the mountain top and having a wonderful warm June day full of love.
