The B family just moved into the area recently and I figured there is no better way to celebrate fall then in Old Ellicott City. So we wandered around, soaking up the lights, the beauty, the foliage, and the overall wonder of Old Ellicott City in the fall. The evening even ended with a fabulous pink sky sunset to wrap up and beauty and oddly warm fall day.

The M family does a yearly trip to New Germany State Park near Deep Creek, Maryland and they rent one of the parks cabins. This year they hired me to come capture their family and we got to play together around the park. We had a totally blast and got goofy. Major thanks to these lovely beings for being awesome.

The Cat and her daughter celebrated their family unit and hopped in front of my lens before her daughter moved to Hawaii. We had a lovely afternoon playing around, goofing off, and even catching some art from our friend Bill Dunlap out in the wild.

Lexi, Ian, and Andie had me come to their lovely farm in Damascus, Maryland and capture their love. We took the farm truck up through the land and Lexi, Andie, and I enjoyed the wind in our hair and the gorgeous early fall weather. The farm is Ian’s family’s land so it was super neat to wander around and soak in the full beauty and memories that fill the land. Andie in pure farm dog glory photobombed all day and lived her best life as the star of the show. We bopped from field to field, greeting the various cows along the way. Considering this lovely pair met in veterinary school, I couldn’t think of a more perfect way to celebrate their love and capture their energy. I cannot wait until their May wedding where we will get to hang out with their loved ones and some amazing horses.

Nina and Mark celebrated their combo Catholic/ Jewish wedding at Springfield Manor in Thurmont, MD right outside of Frederick, MD. It was a lovely smaller affair. It was a lovely garden party vibe complete with yard games. The lavender fields had begun to bloom so the perfectly sunny day had the most lovely backdrop of blooms.

Dani and Spencer’s wedding day at Deep Creek Lake was an absolute blast! Their main focus of the day was wanting to enjoy the day with their friends and family, and I think they succeeded. Their officiant was their next door neighbor in New Orleans who flew in for the affair. They had an amazing band rock the party that also came in from New Orleans. Stephanie and Kyle decided to elope in Swallow Falls State Park on a lovely August day. Kyle’s mom was there for assistance and emotional support. We met up with Heidi of Mountain Spirit and took the easy trail to our pre chosen location within the park. We got Stephanie into her dress as Kyle got dressed and then her and Kyle had the sweetest first look The whole day was intimate and wonderful. We frolicked in the beauty of nature and chatted and had a wonderful day. Major thank you to Heidi of Mountain Spirit for being an amazing officiant and meeting up with us. We wandered our way through Swallow Falls State Park first, and found the perfect location for them. Then had dinner and chatted at MoonShadow and finished up the day with quick stroll through Friendsville, MD. It was so lovely to get to meet them both and to actually take the time to get to know one another while also picking the perfect location for the August elopement and capturing some fun steamy woodland engagement shots along the way. Their love story started with a waterfall and star watching first day complete with shooting stars. Blake is also sporting some great stick pokes from the beginning of their relationship. Jason and Tonya eloped on top of Marsh Mountain at the Wisp Resort in McHenry, Maryland in February 2022. When I arrived at their suite Jason’s lovely amazing mom was helping Tonya get ready. Once everyone was ready to go we went downstairs to meet up with Jason’s father and head up the mountain in a caravan fashion. The planner picked a lovely spot overlooking the view of Deep Creek lake below and we were off to the races as the wind tried to blow us away. Afterwards we went to a less windy spot to grab some family pictures and pictures of Jason and Tonya as their marriage sunk in and shined through them.

On a cold and stormy October day in 2021 Ashley and Sean got married at The Back Farm on Piney Run in Frostburg, Maryland. Luckily for us the sun eventually popped out right after their ceremony and we were able to sprint outside into the cold long enough to get some amazing pictures without freezing too much, The whole day was full of love, tons of laughs, oodles of old friends, and a great dance party.
