Daniel contacted me with a plan wanting to propose to Yelayna. Using her grandmother’s ring, at Deep Creek Lake a place full of happy memories for them both. In between rain clouds he got down on one knee and she said yes!

Mariah and Jen’s fall microwedding style elopement at Swallow Falls State Park in Deep Creek, Maryland was a wonderful and colorful affair. Mariah chose a pink wedding dress to match her pink hair and it was fabulous. The ceremony was done in a Native way to nod towards Jen’s heritage. It was beautiful to watch each element being represented and the traditional use of cornmeal and feathers in action was fabulous (I would post more of those, but the officiant didn’t wish to be published publicly). So hopefully the tidbits give you some of the vibe. Their friends and family surrounded them in so much love and were troopers as we popped through the park and hit each waterfall along the way. Thank you so much to Mariah and Jen for hiring me to capture your day. I had such a blast capturing your love.

Heidi and Dan were absolutely amazing and shared their love of boating with me for their Deep Creek Lake engagement session. We met up at the boat and sped out just in time to catch the most beautiful sunset on the lake and had the most fun snuggling up on the boat for the sunset.

Post rain on a July day I met up with Harley and Nicole at Big Run State Park in Garrett County, Maryland near Deep Creek Lake for their engagement session. We wandered all over and played in nature and on Harley’s motorcycle, We then ended the day at Katie’s Ice Cream in Grantsville, Maryland and caught the last bits of the setting sun with ice cream to refuel us from our adventures.

Adam and Morgan met up with me in Oakland, MD, then we wandered over to Swallow Falls State Park, and then ended the day at Deep Creek Lake State Park and watched the sunset.
I have known Morgan forever thanks to her being a year younger than me in private school. So I figured what better way to spend the day then stumble around the area around where they are getting married, and just take our time taking their engagement photos and catching up.
We spent the time chatting about life after school, how her and Adam met, them living in Aspen, Colorado and having a puppy named for that life adventure. Adam enjoys photography as well and does some wonderful work with landscapes and we chatted about his love coming from getting into astro photography out west. It was a nice day spent wandering about with an old friend and a new friend. I can’t wait for their fall wedding in Garrett County, MD!!

Rinda and Daniel eloped in Hocking Hills Ohio in the spring of 2021. We spent a day at their rental home with their friends and family having a ceremony. Then we woke up early the next morning to wander the park early before anyone else got there and had a total blast. We hiked through upper falls, Old Man’s Cave, and then the Old Man’s Cave Waterfall. Hocking Hills is one of my personal all time favorite spots, so it was wonderful to actually capture it with such an amazing couple.

Brian and George spent a lovely February day wandering around Swallow Falls State Park with me for their engagement photos. These two love birds had know each other since high school and reconnected and fell in love years later. It was wonderful to enjoy the surprisingly warm day while wandering through the woods and listening to the story of their love. We even had a great time having a nice icicle wand fight and just got to goof off and giggle together.
