Tarah and Tom wandered down from Pittsburgh, PA and met up with me at Rocky Gap State Park for their engagement session. Rocky Gap holds a special place for them both since it was their first trip away together as a couple. So we wandered all over the park chittering about the origins of their love and having a blast together.

Morgan and Adam’s fall wedding in Deep Creek Maryland was an absolute stunner. The fall foliage was out to play at the Venues at Lucas Farm in Garrett County, MD. It was a wonderful day in October where the rain came all the way down. Seeing as I’ve known Morgan since she was in pre-k it was basically like a family reunion/ high school reunion since our catholic education blessed us with the weird magic of tiny class sizes and everyone knowing everyone. It was so wonderful to see so many friends and family members.Fall at the Venues at Lucas Farms is a full stunner too, the freshly updated venue brought the magic of a multitude of barns for all the things. Obviously the winner was the dock with the gorgeous trees towering overtop. While we were dodging waves of rain we were still able to soak up the beauty of this stunning Western Maryland venue. With the plethora of friends and family, the party full of love and laughter rolled on with a full dance party with ABBA and Taylor Swift bumping through the barn as we all got down and had a total blast <3

On a lovely June day in Pittsburgh, PA Bridget and Justin were married in the Garden Room at the National Aviary. Bridget used her past house party planning experience to help plot the most wonderful and fun day with all of their friends and family. Every table had it’s own flavor of cake, each place setting was 3D printed along with their cake topper. The florals were inspired by Bridgerton and they fully gave the garden party fantasy. Her veil was hand embroidered by their refugee house mates, and their daughters were their flower girls. Photos of their story ( including their first Tinder conversation from when they met in college at Appalachian State) and loved ones lined ever ledge. All the details were done with care. Including flash mob dances, galavanting with various birds, and a surprise changing color LED dress. Everyone had an absolute blast and the day flew by for sure.

Mariah and Jen’s fall microwedding style elopement at Swallow Falls State Park in Deep Creek, Maryland was a wonderful and colorful affair. Mariah chose a pink wedding dress to match her pink hair and it was fabulous. The ceremony was done in a Native way to nod towards Jen’s heritage. It was beautiful to watch each element being represented and the traditional use of cornmeal and feathers in action was fabulous (I would post more of those, but the officiant didn’t wish to be published publicly). So hopefully the tidbits give you some of the vibe. Their friends and family surrounded them in so much love and were troopers as we popped through the park and hit each waterfall along the way. So this fall in Garrett County absolutely provided per usual. For example this adorable globetrotting duo and newest residents to Western Maryland got to enjoy a fabulous fall day at Swallow Falls State Park. Considering Alex first moved from Boston to Turkey and then met his lovely wife, Katie. I’m beyond happy they decided Mountain Maryland was the place to settle down and call home. We wandered around enjoying the lovely fall day in their wedding attire and did an elopement style shoot to celebrate their wedding anniversary.

Heidi and Dan were absolutely amazing and shared their love of boating with me for their Deep Creek Lake engagement session. We met up at the boat and sped out just in time to catch the most beautiful sunset on the lake and had the most fun snuggling up on the boat for the sunset.

Harley and Nicole tied the knot with their friends at family at Brodak’s Banquet Hall in Oakland, MD in Deep Creek. It was a full Garrett County shin dig, with everyone chipping in to help out, from a close friend making the wedding cake, to another being the DJ, to the boys riding their motorcycles around before the got dressed. Post rain on a July day I met up with Harley and Nicole at Big Run State Park in Garrett County, Maryland near Deep Creek Lake for their engagement session. We wandered all over and played in nature and on Harley’s motorcycle, We then ended the day at Katie’s Ice Cream in Grantsville, Maryland and caught the last bits of the setting sun with ice cream to refuel us from our adventures.

Ivy and Ryan came out and played with me at Rocky Gap State Park in Western Maryland for their engagement session. We wandered all over the park and chatted, having a nice evening together. We even got to sneak in some shots with Ryan’s jeep which comes from winning it at the casino that is also inside this vast state park. I can’t wait for these two to get married lovely humans to get married in September!!

Adam and Morgan met up with me in Oakland, MD, then we wandered over to Swallow Falls State Park, and then ended the day at Deep Creek Lake State Park and watched the sunset.
I have known Morgan forever thanks to her being a year younger than me in private school. So I figured what better way to spend the day then stumble around the area around where they are getting married, and just take our time taking their engagement photos and catching up.
We spent the time chatting about life after school, how her and Adam met, them living in Aspen, Colorado and having a puppy named for that life adventure. Adam enjoys photography as well and does some wonderful work with landscapes and we chatted about his love coming from getting into astro photography out west. It was a nice day spent wandering about with an old friend and a new friend. I can’t wait for their fall wedding in Garrett County, MD!!

Rinda and Daniel eloped in Hocking Hills Ohio in the spring of 2021. We spent a day at their rental home with their friends and family having a ceremony. Then we woke up early the next morning to wander the park early before anyone else got there and had a total blast. We hiked through upper falls, Old Man’s Cave, and then the Old Man’s Cave Waterfall. Hocking Hills is one of my personal all time favorite spots, so it was wonderful to actually capture it with such an amazing couple.

Brian and George spent a lovely February day wandering around Swallow Falls State Park with me for their engagement photos. These two love birds had know each other since high school and reconnected and fell in love years later. It was wonderful to enjoy the surprisingly warm day while wandering through the woods and listening to the story of their love. We even had a great time having a nice icicle wand fight and just got to goof off and giggle together.

Megan and Derrick came to Blackwater Falls State Park in Davis, WV for the weekend to elope and enjoy the beauty of Tucker County. Although it rained the day of we still had a total blast popping over to Tip Top in Thomas, WV afterwards to cut their custom cakes my close friend made for the day. Then we wandered through the stores of Thomas and Davis and even briefly popped over to Canaan Valley to get some moody misty shots of the valley.

Sometimes bopping around is well worth the adventure. K and J popped up into town and we hit some great spots in our engagement session journey. We hit Green Ridge State Forest, Rocky Gap State Park, and then stopped at Locust Post Brewery for beers to wrap up our adventure and chat while checking out Tony’s fantastic art. I loved getting to capture the energy of this fabulous goofy duo in their own element on what is a typical date night adventure for them, but in my backyard. Thanks for driving up and catching some of the beauty of Western Maryland.
