J and N started their lovely wedding day at Ravens Roost Overlook in Lyndhurst, VA right on the Blue Ridge Parkway with me where we took some time to ourselves and got some gorgeous pics. Ravens Roost is part of the Blue Ridge Parkway and is separate from Shenandoah National Park. Each have their own set of rules.

Afterwards we boogied over to nearby Wintergreen Resort for their ceremony. Chris Karol from Season 7 of Love is Blind was their officiant. Which we were super lucky and the rain stopped right when we needed it to, Chris and I were able to clean everything up just as everyone was arriving. Thankfully the burst of weather didn’t bother the lovely floral arrangements by Weddings By Vogue. Afterwards we went to the home they had rented for the weekend and warmed back up. They had the most lovely intimate dinner catered by The Catering Outfit and a wee cute cake by The Cakeroom. Dinner was served on N’s parents china and was a stunning and sweet touch. After dinner and cake, we hopped out back and made a fire to enjoy the evening in style. With stories shared, families coming together, and their young niece having her first ever marshmallow.

If looking to get married, elope, or read your vows at Ravens Roost Overlook, there is a permit process and a $150 fee. They limit your party to a size of 25 people. It is recommend to file for your permit at least 30 days beforehand. You can review how to do that and all the permit details here
